Peer Game Analysis Review

Analysis Of Stefan's Moment In Gaming

Stefan's moment of game was the end credit scene of Nier Automata, the gameplay shown in the video is of the end credit scene of the game. The gameplay is of a typical twin stick shooter, where the player defeats enemies and dodges incoming fire. Overall gameplay looks difficult in this clip until at the end when previous players characters come in to help the player and get them through the final credits.

The area where this gameplay connected to the player was through learning the information that all the players that came to their aid sacrificed all their games saved data to be able to. Show a strong sense of community and companionship in the game. I have personally not played this game but this moment shown in the video connected to me so I can only imagine how this would feel for the player.

The Essential experience present in this video is clearly the representation of Unity and sacrifice in unbeatable odds. The player has no chance of winning without these other players sacrifice so even though the gameplay is that of a simple twin stick shooter, its this heart warming moment where the player feels soo close to the community in this final section of the game.

Lens Of Beauty -

Bright visual effects, sombre tone and heartfelt messages

Lens Of Projection - the game spurs you on to keep fighting instilling the player with a sense of hope every time they are beaten.

Lens Of Inherent Interest - Finish the final stages of this game in a neon bullet hell.
