Week 8 - Gremlin Mansion Mischief Game

This Game Idea will see you play as gremlin with strong attachment issues to English manor during the 1920s. The game will see you as the player be let loose on an old English manor and all its occupants, from the servants, butlers and the lord of the manor, no one is safe.


Gameplay Mechanics

•Play as Gremlin as he leaves his grotto day by day to reek havoc on the manor


•Manipulate the environment to Disturb the residents and workers of the house


•Build up your mischief bar to progress to the next day


•Sneak through the House’s hallways and pipes to avoid detection

Essential experience

Mansion Mischief at its heart is a stealth-based game where you will have to carry out personal set task to slowly build up a bar with experience points based on how much you distress NPCs in the world. The game will have a humorous side to it, with it going for a Monty Python style of humor. The game will set the player in 3rd person as they control the gremlin with conventual 3rd person movement mechanics. It will allow the player to interact with many objects in the world, combining aspects to set up traps or incidents that the inhabitants of the manor will have to deal with.


Art style and Environments

The game is set in a British manor and its surrounding grounds in the 1920’s this is due to inspiration of the setting of Downton abbey. The contradiction of this vulgar creature along side such a civilized setting will nail the humor I wish to capture. This setting will also allow for the game map to be built out to incorporate several paths and areas of the manor for the player to explore.
