My first situation of helping another student with 3D work was with one of my teammates Rafael. It was a simple call with me going through his great monkey skeleton 3D model he created, with us cleaning it up and getting it ready for him to begin retopolgising it. The call mostly involved just cleaning up modifiers such as mirror modifiers making sure they're set correctly and merging intersecting bones that don't need to be separate pieces.

I also made sure to have a file open on blender on my computer so we can quickly switch screen share so I can show an example of how the process is done so he can carry it out him self while I observe. This allows me to make note if he has taken all the information on board.

The call lasted 36 minutes and I was able to teach the basic methods of preparing your model ready for retopology. Overall I also learnt that in future calls with fellow classmates I need to go slower as at times I felt I had lost him which was completely my fault, so in future calls I will make sure everything is understood before moving on.

The same week I was approached by Kaja asking about good tutorials and the length of my character pipeline. I sent over some very inciteful videos by the channel FlippedNormals which helped me improve my art at the start. I also gave the run down of the overall time it takes to make a character, we then had a conversation going more in-depth about the process which is not pictured below.

I then had my second call with Rafael helping him with the overall process of texturing in substance painter. We went through his monkey skeleton again and I showed him how he can achieve realistic dirt and cracks through the use of Smart Masks which are found in substance painter.

I then showed him how to activate and apply emission colours in substance painter in which he used for a magical glow idea he'd come up with. I went on to show him all the setting he needed to apply to be able to export them into blender and to set them up in the material node workspace. Going through these steps for this one section of the model allowed him to go off and do the rest of the skeleton without my help.

Overall the call lasted 34 minutes, with me going through the steps of texturing in substance and exporting back into Blender. I felt like this call went a lot better as I made sure to keep the information I was teaching clear and concise with me making sure he understood each step before moving on.
